Dhawan: It is always nice to end up on a winning note, I was hitting the ball well in the whole tournament and this was due, it was good to score well. The ball was coming on nicely and we knew that we could get a big score. The team has done really well in the last three games, it is nice to be ending on a winning note. I’ll be training for my domestic season, looking forward to play for India when the opportunity comes my way.

Dhawan is the MoM for his magnificent 95 off 57 deliveries.

Cameron White: Batting first turned out to be pretty good, the two guys at the top set the game up for us. I guess we had our share of luck, that’s how twenty twenty cricket goes. Things went our way and we also played well. Yeah for sure, we’ve had the two best spinners in the country and with the conditions suiting them, they were terrific. It was good to win.

Adam Gilchrist: I got that wrong at the toss, we should have batted, lost focus after looking at all the run rate issues and the weather conditions. Probably lost the game there. I don’t think it was pressure, everything went wrong for us, we have had a terrific run and being 5th in the tournament is something to be pleased with. Without a doubt, there are plenty of positives to take out from this. There is a nice feeling in the group and the franchise in general. Marsh and Valthaty were outstanding, and the reason why it all came down to today was coz we didn’t bat around with them. They needed a bit of support. Praveen Kumar led from the front and Piyush Chawla was good too. I don’t know whether I’ll be back for the next year, I have got a bit of time to think and we have time to work on it.
